Discover Horizon Assess Air ™: Guidelines and objectives

Horizon Assess Air ™ is an international scheme for use in the field of air passenger transport, created by the French government in a public-private partnership. The main players concerned are not only airlines, but also consumers and tourism professionals. Any airline, whatever its size, can apply for Horizon Assess Air ™ scheme and benefit from this mark of recognition.

Designed and approved by stakeholders, the Horizon Assess Air ™ scheme is based on a constructive, high performance approach. It is organised around the following sections:
- Safety
- Information transparency
- Service quality

The aim of the label is to encourage airlines to make or renew their commitment to Safety, Information Transparency and Service Quality.

Airlines must achieve the required standard in each of the sections in order to obtain the Horizon Assess Air™ label. The label is awarded for 3 years, subject to achieving the required standard in the initial and intermediate assessments conducted by the assessing body.

The Horizon Assess Air ™ label does not replace the national, European or international regulations in effect, and only concerns, initially, airlines wishing to obtain the Horizon Assess Air ™ label for flights to and from French territory.

An essential characteristic of this label is its adaptability. The Horizon Assess Air ™ label is designed to be consumer-friendly, and can be modified to remove or include requirements in future versions, incorporating new regulations, the realities of airlines and feedback from consumers.
